Bakery Village is an award-winning, mixed-use redevelopment that straddles the Newark-East Orange border. Where others saw a dilapidated structure, RPM envisioned a 125-unit apartment building with a community center, day-care facility, and 16,000 square feet of commercial space. Bakery Village turned the Ward Bakery – a contaminated Brownfield site – into a community asset, preserving the industrial architecture of the building and bringing new housing options to the neighborhood.
