Prior to its adaptive re-use by RPM, Telephone Heights was a switching building for the telephone company. The building, whose original construction dates to 1907, now houses 45 units of housing featuring one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. Telephone Heights also houses a large day-care facility on its ground floor. The New Jersey Housing & Mortgage Finance Agency recognized the project in 2000 for Excellence in Housing Management.
